Caroline den Hoed, MD, PhD

Den Hoed, Caroline 2017 120x160Caroline M den Hoed (1982) studied medicine at the Leiden University Medical School (LUMC), obtaining her medical degree in 2008 (cum laude).

She started her PhD in 2008 in Rotterdam under the guidance of Prof. dr. Ernst Kuipers. In 2012 she defended her thesis titled: Helicobacter pylori from acquisition to malignancy. Subsequently she started her training as an gastroenterologist under guidance of Prof. Dr. R.A. de Man, which she will finish in April 2017. From May 2017 she will be appointed as a staff member of the department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, with a focus on Hepatology and a special interest in oncology.
