Cassandra Simonich, MD/PhD Candidate

Simonich, Cassandra 2016 120x160Cassie Simonich is a MD/PhD candidate in the University of Washington Medical Scientist Training Program. She grew up in rural Montana and received a bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Montana. Her PhD thesis work in the lab of Dr. Julie Overbaugh follows up on a study that identified HIV-infected infants who developed broadly neutralizing antibody responses relatively rapidly compared to adults. Her work focuses on the isolation and characterization of monoclonal antibodies contributing to infant plasma breadth.
