Eric Nuermberger, MD

Eric Nuermberger MD is Associate Professor of Medicine and International Health at Johns Hopkins University, where he completed a residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Infectious Diseases. Since 2001, he has been primarily engaged in pre-clinical TB drug development research using in vitro and murine models.This work has informed the clinical development of moxifloxacin, rifapentine, PA-824 and PNU-100480 for TB and the pre-clinical development of numerous other compounds. This work has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, the Food and Drug Administration, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the Global Alliance for TB Drug Development, and Pfizer.
