Felicia Chow, MD

Chow, Felicia 2016 120x160Dr. Chow is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) with a joint appointment in the Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases.

 She directs the UCSF Neuro-Infectious Diseases Clinic and cares for patients with a wide range of neurological infections, including neurological complications of HIV infection. She is a graduate of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and completed clinical training in neurology, neuro-infectious diseases and HIV neurology at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital and UCSF.

 Dr. Chow has an active clinical research program focused on the epidemiology and pathogenesis of cerebrovascular disease in HIV infection, including delineation of the relative role of traditional versus novel stroke risk factors in HIV, understanding sex disparities in stroke risk in HIV, identifying biomarkers of stroke risk in HIV and implementation of targeted interventions to improve the cerebrovascular health of individuals living with HIV infection worldwide.
