3rd International Workshop on Hepatitis C, Resistance and New Compounds

Home

Dear Colleagues

After a successful second workshop in October 2007 the International workshop on Hepatitis C - resistance and new compounds has proved to meet the need of researchers and clinicians.

We are pleased to announce the third edition of the International Workshop on Hepatitis C, resistance and new compounds. After two successive years being linked to the AASLD the meeting will continue as stand alone conference at an earlier date in the year.

The 3rd International workshop on Hepatitis C, resistance and new compounds will be held in the Boston area on 5 and 6 June. The main objective of the meeting is to provide international researchers and clinicians in the field of Hepatitis C with the opportunity to discuss their latest results in a closed workshop setting, thus allowing frank and open discussion.

The 1,5 day meeting will consist of invited lectures, abstract presentations, roundtable discussions and poster sessions. Ample time will be allocated for questions & answers and discussion in order to provide a stimulating environment that allows the participants to consolidate a full picture of the issues and challenges in this fast-moving field.

The workshop will address important topics such as novel HIC inhibitors, novel drug development strategies, technologies for assessment of resistance, HCV replication dynamics and pathogenesis, mechanisms of resistance selection and evolution, and the clinical relevance and management of HCV drug resistance. We expect to assemble leaders in the field from academic, pharmaceutical, biotechnology and diagnostic institutions.

Participation is on invitation only.

Persons who have not received an invitation but would like to participate are requested to contact the conference secretariat (info@virology-education.com) Your request should be accompanied by a short description of your present activities in the field. Your application for registration will be forwarded to the organizing committee for approval.

Applications to attend this workshop are considered with or without abstract submission. However, priority will be given to the corresponding author of the accepted abstract.
Participants of the meeting in 2007 will receive a personal invitation.

On line registration and abstract submission will be possible as from 1 March 2008

We look forward to an inspiring meeting !
