4th International HIV and Hepatitis Co-infection workshop
Although the first consensus guidelines on treatment of hepatitis co-infection in HIV patients have become available in 2005, many open questions remain With the results from recently finished trials as well as the growing body of experience in treatment of this particular patient group more answers are becoming available.
In response to these substantial scientific and therapeutic challenges and in order to meet this need for international interchange, we are organising the 4th International HIV and Hepatitis Co-infection Workshop to be held from 19 to 21 June 2008 in Madrid, Spain.
This international workshop will continue to serve as an important forum to profile developments in basic science, emerging therapies and clinical management; to incorporate and influence national, European and international guidelines and will focus on translational research and best practice in the clinical management of Hepatitis and HIV co-infection.
The format of the workshop will include expert presentations, controversy sessions on areas currently lacking consensus, abstract-driven presentations and educational patient profiles. The aim of the workshop is to address emergent issues in hepatitis and HIV. The target audience consists of scientists and clinicians taking care of co-infected patients.
You are kindly invited to attend this 4th International HIV and Hepatitis Co-infection Workshop and we would like to encourage you to submit abstracts on your research in this field.
If you are interested in supporting this workshop, please contact Alice Posthumus-Plantinga at Virology Education regarding the sponsorship possibilities.
