4th International Workshop on HIV Entry

Home

Dear Colleague

The promising developments of HIV Entry Inhibition provide hope for new treatment strategies and solutions for individuals infected with HIV. A number of exciting new agents are currently in clinical development. Our insights into HIV entry, its pathogenesis, resistance, fitness and clinical relevance remain limited and it is of critical importance to discuss these among those active in the field.

Last year we organized the 3rd International Workshop on Targeting HIV Entry. The main objective of this meeting was to provide international researchers and clinicians in the field of HIV treatment with the crucial opportunity to share the latest scientific developments in the field and to translate science around HIV entry to clinical practice. As with the first edition, this second meeting also proved to be very successful and to meet a need in this field. Hence we decided to follow up with a fourth meeting this year: 'Targeting HIV Entry - 4th International workshop'.

The format of the meeting will be a two-day programme consisting of invited lectures, abstract presentations, roundtable discussions and poster sessions. Ample time will be allocated to questions & answers and discussion in order to set up an intimate interactive workshop.

The workshop will address important topics such as mechanisms of entry, novel agents, clinical utility, resistance & pharmacology, pathogenesis, evolution, dynamics, and fitness span.

The workshop is intended for educational purposes only and aims to offer participants the opportunity to share information.
