Dear Colleagues,
Thanks to a wonderful turnout, 4th edition of the International Workshop on Hepatitis C, Resistance and New Compounds was a great success! Held in the Sheraton Boston Hotel, at the heart of Boston, 90 delegates from 11 different countries were in attendance (please refer to the participant list to the right of your screen).
After a stand alone meeting in 2007 and 2008, this was the first edition of the workshop held back-to-back with the 4th International Workshop on Clinical Pharmacology of Hepatitis Therapy. The format of the meeting was a 1.5-day program consisting of invited lectures, abstract presentations and discussion rounds, followed by a joint session with the Clinical Pharmacology Workshop. The questions & answers and discussion provided a stimulating environment that allowed the participants to consolidate a full picture of the issues and challenges in this fast-moving field. To ensure the quality of the presentations, all abstracts were reviewed by the Organizing and Scientific Committees.
We would like to express our appreciation to everyone who took the time to fill in the evaluation form at the end of the conference. Thanks to your feedback and suggestions, we hope to build upon last year's success.
Of course, the organization of this workshop could not have been possible without the valuable support of our sponsors. Special thanks goes out to Roche, Abbott Virology, AstraZeneca, Boehringer Ingelheim, Merck, Sharp & Dohme, InterMune and Pharmasset, Inc.!
We hope to see you again at the 5th International Workshop on Hepatitis C - Resistance and New Compounds in Bostion, MA in 2010 and encourage you to submit abstracts on your research for another successful scientific program.
