She is the clinical supervisor of the HIV resistance unit at the department of virology which serves as a WHO reference laboratory for HIV resistance testing.
As clinical virology consultant she advises infectious disease specialists in multiple HIV-centers in the Netherlands in their choice of antiretroviral regimens
either in multidisciplinary meetings or video conference calls.
She is involved in the Activate Program of the combined European cohorts (EuroCoord) which organises clinical skills meetings throughout Europe.
She is technical coordinator of the European Commission supported EuropeHIVResistance Network, which focuses on transmission of drug resistance.
