Dr. Bambang S. Adiwijaya, Ph. D., is a Senior Pharmacometrician of Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Cambridge, MA, where he focuses on developing computational models of HCV disease and treatments.  His main interest involves the applications of advanced computational tools to guide drug development, in particular, in the interface between population-approach modeling and models in systems biology.  His works integrate various disciplines including virology, clinical pharmacology, computer science, and mathematics, and has been applied to problems in early discovery, and on-going designs of clinical trials.

Dr. Adiwijaya received his undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, his master degree in Chemical Engineering at the Carnegie Mellon University, and his doctorate degree in Biological Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.  He had utilized advanced computational methods to a variety of applications, including optimization of petro-chemical plants and extraction of design principles in a network of proteins involved in a canonical signal-transduction pathway.
