Registration
To encourage broad participation in the conference, organizers are offering a two sided fee structure, with lower registration fees for delegates from middle/low-income countries (World Bank Classification) and regular registration fees for delegates from high income countries.

This registration fee includes:
- Entrance into all scientific sessions, including poster area
- Delegate bag, including abstract book/final program
- Welcome drinks - Refreshments during the breaks
- Lunch during the program
- Dinner on Thursday 14 July 2011 provided pre-registration and payment of the nominal contribution of € 35 have been received.
Please note:
- Only onsite registration is possible (14-15 July) after 3 July.
- No day rate is available.
- Payment can only be made by credit card.
PhD Students & Academia from resource poor countries
A limited number of free registrations are available for PhD Students and Academia from resource poor countries. To become eligible for free registration, a plausible abstract must be submitted. Please follow the regular abstract submission procedure and send an e-mail to info@virology-education.com indicating you are a PhD student or delegate from a resource poor country wishing to apply for a free registration for the 6th International Workshop on HIV Transmission, together with your abstract title.
Accommodation
Registration fees do not include accommodation. The workshop will be held prior to the IAS 2011 conference. We suggest extending your hotel reservation at the IAS website.
Important
- We would strongly suggest that you register early, as registration will close when the capacity of the venue is reached.
- Please remember that registration will be limited to researchers, clinicians and others actively participating as investigators in the field, with preference accorded to researchers and clinicians with a doctorate or other professional degree.
- Submission of your online registration does not guarantee that your registration has been accepted. Your registration is final when full payment has been received and a confirmation of your registration has been sent.
Payment
By credit card only: online or by written authorization (see online registration).
Cancellation policy
In case of cancellation the following refunds are applicable:
- Cancellation before 5 June 2011: 50% refund (minus an administration fee of € 35 - Cancellation on/after 5 June 2011: no refund possible
Should you be unable to attend the conference, a substitute delegate is always welcome at no extra charge provided that a letter of authorization from the original participant has been received and the Conference Secretariat has been notified of the name of the substitute delegate before 3 July 2011. A statement (email/letter/fax) of cancellation must be sent to Virology Education.
Liability and Insurance
By registering for the conference participants agree that the organisers do not accept responsibility for medical-, travel- or personal insurance. Participants are advised to take out their own insurance policies.
Media registration
In order to register as a media participant for the Workshop, the conference secretariat needs to receive proof of accreditation. A reduced registration fee may apply for accredited media participants. Please contact the conference secretariat for registration conditions. A final program/abstract book will be provided on-site. Deadline for application is 17 June 2011.
NB: Media is restricted to the written press. Recording on film or photo is not allowed. We would like to receive a copy of your workshop report once it is finalized.
Accreditation may take the form of a photocopy of official press credentials or a letter verifying assignment to the Workshop on the stationary of the media organization concerned. Freelance journalists should submit copies of three (3) by-lined articles on Clinical Pharmacology of HIV Therapy in addition to an official letter of assignment. Newsletter writers and editors must submit three (3) issues of their newsletter containing at least one by-lined article on Clinical Pharmacology of HIV Therapy by the applicant. All credentials will be verified by the Organizing Committee of the Workshop.
Media participants are not able to register online, but are requested to send the information mentioned above to info@virology-education.com.
Sponsored attendance
If you are invited by a pharmaceutical or diagnostic company or if your registration is organized by a travel agency please do not register online or by fax. The sponsoring company will be asked to register you via the Conference Secretariat.
