We trust that the following information (in alphabetical order) will assist you in organizing your registration and stay in San Francisco.

Abstract submission
Abstracts may be submitted until 13 July 2012. Please go to the Abstract Submission page for more information.

Accommodation
Accommodation is not included in the registration fee. However, accommodation at special conference rates can be booked through the registration page on this website.
Please note that participants are liable for any damage to the hotel or the conference venue for which they are personally responsible.

Badges
All participants (and accompanying persons during the social event) are kindly requested to wear their badge at all times during the conference.

Bank and Currency
The official currency of the USA is the US Dollar. ATMs are widely available. Credit cards are accepted in larger shops, restaurants and hotels.

Certificate of Attendance
A certificate of attendance can be requested at the conference secretariat during the conference and will be handed out at the end of the workshop.

Climate
In September, the average daytime temperature in San Francisco is high 71 F / low 56 F (21/13 C)

Conference materials can be obtained upon registration at the registration desk at the Conference Centre

Conference Language
The official conference language will be English.

Electrical power
San Francisco, like the rest of the continental US, uses 110 V/60 cycle electric power with two flat-blade plugs. More modern receptacles have an additional round grounding pin and remain compatible with the two flat-blade plugs.  Visitors using foreign appliances with incompatible plugs or electrical needs should bring an adaptor and/or a voltage converter. 

Invitation letters
An official letter of invitation, designed to help overcome administrative difficulties in certain countries can be found to the right of your screen. This letter does not represent a commitment on the part of the organization to provide any financial assistance. The organizing secretariat is unable to provide more extensive invitation letters.  

Liability and Insurance
By registering for the conference participants agree that the organizers do not accept responsibility for medical-, travel- or personal insurance. Participants are advised to take out their own insurance policies.

Payment and procedure of on-line registration
Your registration will be processed after receipt of payment. Payment can be processed either on line or by fax authorization. The registration fee valid on the day of receipt of registration will be applied, provided that payment is processed immediately. Your registration will be cancelled without further notice if your payment has not been received within 2 weeks after the on line registration.

Photographs, audio and video recording
Photographs as well as audio and video recordings are not permitted at the official meeting sessions. Only the official medical writer appointed by the organization may make recordings. All presentations that we were granted permission for will be posted on the workshop website as soon as possible after the meeting is finished, provided the speaker has given permission to do so.

Registration fee, criteria and cancellation conditions
Online registration for the conference will be possible until 31 August 2012. Individuals wishing to register after 31 August, will only be able to do so on site. For further information on fees, online registration and cancellation please go to the registration page of this workshop.

A dinner has been organized for the evening of 8 September. Participation is only possible after registration and appropriate payment have been received. On-site registration for the social event is not possible.
