Accommodation
Accommodation in the Hotel Fira Palace is not included in the registration. However, accommodation at special conference fees can be booked through the registration page on this website. For address information, see below under Meeting venue.

Badges
All participants (and accompanying persons during the social events) are kindly requested to wear their badge at all times during the conference.
 
Bank and Currency
The official currency in Spain is the Euro.
ATMs are widely available. Credit cards are generally accepted.
                      
Certificate of Attendance
A certificate of attendance can be picked up at the registration desk on Friday 30 March.
 
Climate
In March the average temperature in Barcelona is 13° C / 55° F.
 
Conference Language
The official conference language will be English.
There will be no simultaneous translation.

Electrical power 
Spain uses 220 V electric power with European-style two-pin plugs. Visitors using other types of plugs must bring an adaptor and/or a voltage converter.

By registering for the conference participants agree that the organizers do not accept responsibility for medical-, travel- or personal insurance. Participants are advised to take out their own insurance policies.

Meeting venue
The meeting will be held at the Fira Palace Hotel. The hotel is situated between the famous Plaza de España and Gran Via Avenue, in the heart of Barcelona, in an area with a wide cultural offer and excellent communications service to anywhere in the city and the airport.

Payment and Procedure of on-line registration     
The registration fee of individual participants can be paid only via credit card. Your registration will be processed after receipt of payment. Payment can be processed either on line or by fax authorization. The applicable registration fee for payment (i.e. the amount you need to pay) is determined by the date your credit card information is received at the Secretariat. If payment or credit card information has not been received within 2 weeks of the online registration the registration will be cancelled without further notice.
 
Photographs, audio and video recording
We do not permit recordings of official meeting sessions either via photograph or other audio/video recording devices. Only the official medical writer appointed by the organization may make recordings.
All presentations will be posted on our website http://www.virology-education.com/ under 'previous workshops' as soon as possible after the meeting is finished, provided the speaker has given explicit consent to do so.

Registration
Online registration for the conference will be possible until 15 March 2012. Individuals hoping to register after 15 March 2012.  will only be able to do so on site provided that seats are available. Social Events
The dinners of the European Meeting on HIV & Hepatitis are famous for their great atmosphere - who doesn't remember the smashing Cypriot night of last year? This year, we will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of the meeting with the fiery flamenco! The meeting dinner will be held on Thursday 29 March at the Casino Barcelona and will culminate in a unique show by the world-famous flamenco dancer Rafael Amargo. This will be an experience you don't want to miss!

The dinner and the show are on pre-registration only (€ 45 per person). Limited capacity!
