Clinical Implications of Resistance
An array of clinically focused Workshop studies bolstered evolving thinking in antiretroviral management, particularly the goal of striving for an undetectable viral load when planning regimens after multiple failures. One retrospective analysis figured that cumulative mutations—and certain individual mutations—have an impact on survival, while another study identified mutations that may foster sustained susceptibility to tipranavir.
