Marc Noguera i Julian, PhD., obtained his PhD in 2006 in Computational and Theoretical Chemistry. While working on High Performance Computing he also obtained both Biochemistry and Computer Science degrees. In 2009 he switched fields towards cancer genomics and Next Generation Sequencing data analysis. working in the Personalized and Predictive Cancer Medicine Institute (IMPPC) for one and a half years. He is now a researcher in the Molecular Epidemiology group, in IrsiCaixa Retrovirology Laboratory where he addresses research from the computational perspective. The group conducts research on the impact of minority drug-resistant HIV and HCV and X4 viruses on therapy outcomes and HIV disease progression, as well as developing bioinformatic tools for next-generation sequencing data interpretation.
