Oana Sandulescu, MD, PhD

Dr. Oana Săndulescu, MD, PhD, is currently Associate Professor at the Department of Infectious Diseases, Faculty of Medicine, Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy, and Specialist Physician in infectious diseases at the National Institute for Infectious Diseases “Prof. Dr. Matei Balș”, Bucharest, Romania.

She obtained her MD and PhD at the Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Bucharest, Romania, and is currently Romanian national representative at EUCIC (European Committee on Infection Control). She has authored more than 150 peer-reviewed papers and conference presentations and is on the editorial board of several scientific journals that focus on infectious diseases, including “Germs” and “Journal of Contemporary Clinical Practice”. She is involved in clinical practice and medical research alike and her current fields of interest include microbiology, virology and host-pathogen interactions.
