Dapeng Zhang joined Blue City Holdings Ltd. in 2018 and worked as the Vice General Manager of Blued Health. Blued is part of Blue City Holdings Ltd., a social enterprise devoting its efforts to providing internet services to members of the LGBTQ community with over 50 million registered users globally. Blued health is mainly responsible for Danlan welfare initiatives and Danlan online health platform involving providing HIV testing and counseling, behavioral promotion, and online Pharmacy for men who have sex with men et al.
Before joining Blued, he has been working in the National Center for AIDS/STD Control and Prevention, China CDC, for over 15 years. He has a strong background in HIV prevention among key populations including MSM. From 2011 to 2014, he served as the program manager of the China-Gates Foundation HIV Project. The project specifically explored models in reducing HIV infection among MSM by addressing HIV case finding, prevention for HIV positives, and cooperation with community based organizations. In 2014, he also joined the Emergency response team of China CDC in Sierra Leone to provide technical support for Ebola control.
He finished his medical degree from Shandong Medical University, China and received PhD degree in Epidemiology from School of Public Health of the University of Adelaide, Australia.
