Dr. Dario Cattance has Pharmacy degree and post-degree specialization in Pharmacology both awarded by the University of Milan, Italy. PhD degree in Biomedical Sciences awarded by the Open University of London, UK. Later on, he obtained a Master of Transplant Medicine, University of Milan; Master of Clinical Research, University of Milan, Post-degree specialization in Nephrology, University of Ferrara; AssistantProfessor of pharmacology for the degree in Medicine, University of Milan.
Dr. Dario Cattaneo was theHead of the Unit of Pharmacology and Pharmacogenetics, Mario Negri Institute for Pharmacological Research, Bergamo, Italy. Since 2008 he is in charge of the Laboratory of Pharmacokinetics of the Unit of Clinical Pharmacology, Luigi Sacco University Hospital, Milano, Italy. From October 2019, President-elect, International Association of Therapeutic Drug Monitoring and Clinical Toxicology.
His areas of interest are Pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, pharmacogenetics and therapeutic drug monitoring of immunosuppressants, antiviral, antifungal agents, antibiotics, antipsychotics and hypolipidemic drugs. Development of chromatographic methods for the quantification of drugs in different biological matrices. Study of potential drug-drug interactions in real life settings.
Dr. Cattaneo is the author of nearly 200 scientific articles published in peer-review journals (H-index 35), seven book chapters, and over 100 abstracts presented in different international congresses. Invited speaker in nearly 300 meetings organized by national and international societies.
