We invite you to submit your data to our workshop either as research abstract or as clinical case discussion.

General guidelines
Abstracts should contain the following four components:
Background: a concise statement of the issue under investigation or a hypothesis;
Materials & Methods: the experimental methods used (including the statistical analyses employed);
Results: specific findings (promises such as “to be completed” or “to be presented” are not acceptable);
Conclusions: a summary of findings that are supported by your results (statistical analyses used to support the conclusions, where appropriate, should be included; concluding statements such as “the results will be discussed” are not acceptable).

Clinical Cases
For submission of a clinical case, please clearly describe the case including treatment history, laboratory data, current clinical management issues and if possible, follow-up details.

Please note that submissions cannot be accepted if tables, graphs, grant acknowledgements or literature references are included.
The maximum word count for the abstract body is 500 words.

Abstracts/clinical cases are considered official communications to the conference and will be treated confidentially. For those abstracts/clinical cases that are accepted, submitters agree to attend the meeting and present their data as scheduled.

Abstract/clinical case submission
Authors can submit their abstracts/clinical cases electronically using the blue button on the right “Abstract submission”. You will be redirected to the submission website. Please follow the step-by-step directions, which will enable you to upload the abstract or clinical case.
To ensure your abstract/clinical case retains any special characters or formatting, the data must be in Microsoft Word format.

Categories for abstract submission
For purposes of reviewing and programming, abstracts are divided into topical categories. 
The Program Committee reserves the right to reassign your abstract to a more appropriate category.

Topics for abstract submission
Abstracts can be submitted under the following categories:
- Basic Virology 
- Pharmacology and Drug Interactions
- Adverse events and toxicity
- Resistance
- Clinical trials with Integrase Inhibitors (completed or ongoing)
- Informative Case Reports

Travel Grants
A limited number of travel grants will be available for abstract and/or clinical case submitters. Please mark on the registration request form that you would like to apply for a Travel Grant. Travel grant assignment will be notified together with the abstract and/or clinical case acceptance notifications.

Notification of abstract acceptance and presentation format
Abstract and clinical case acceptance notifications will be sent out in the week of 27 September. Please notify the Conference Secretariat if you have not received notification. If your abstract and/or clinical case is accepted, one author is required to register for the conference and present the paper or clinical case as scheduled. It is the responsibility of the corresponding/presenting author to inform all co-authors of the acceptance status. Guidelines for preparing your presentations will be sent afterwards.

Abstract publication
Accepted abstracts and clinical case reports will be published in the Abstract Book, which will be distributed during the conference. Please note that the conference secretariat cannot be held responsible for any typing or language errors in the submitted abstracts as only the format of the abstracts will be changed and not the content.
