Shaping tomorrow together: changing perceptions of managing HCV infection

  • To challenge the perception that managing HCV in mono-infected or coinfected patients is difficult
  • To understand the barriers that prevent people from being screened and treated for HCV infection
  • To foster discussion and exchange of clinical experience of treating different patient populations
  • To appreciate how treatment for HCV has advanced over the past years and highlight that treatment can be simplified by direct-acting antiviral (DAA) therapy
  • To share experience and knowledge of DAA-based regimens and best practice advice/guidance from outside of the CEE region about how to treat different HCV patient populations, with a view to change perceptions and inspire delegates to adopt some of this practical guidance in their own management of people with HCV infection
