Conference Update

COLDA 2020 to Take Place as Scheduled

We at Virology Education have been closely monitoring the global outbreak of COVID-19 novel coronavirus and are pleased to share that COLDA 2020 will take place as scheduled from 10 – 12 September in Dakar, Senegal. We are confident that the situation is under control and that our delegates, partners, and exhibitors can safely participate.

Virology Education is taking this situation very seriously and will continue to follow developments over the course of the next few months to ensure that we are observing all necessary health and safety precautions.

We are available to answer any questions or concerns that you may have about your participation at COLDA 2020.

Unless explicitly agreed with Virology Education, no travel and accommodation is available through registration to the Conference on Liver Disease in Africa 2020.

The official conference language will be English. Simultaneous translation to French will be included.

Electrical Power

ISenegal the standard voltage is 230 V and the frequency is 50 Hz. You can use your electric appliances in Senegal, if the standard voltage in your country is in between 220 - 240 V (as is in the UK, Europe, Australia and most of Asia and Africa).

Invitation Letters

An official letter of invitation, designed to help overcome administrative difficulties in certain countries and also for visa purposes, can be requested from our organizing secretariat. The letter is only provided for delegates that have completed their registration for the meeting. This letter does not represent a commitment on the part of the organization to provide any financial assistance. The organizing secretariat is unable to provide more extensive invitation letters.

Liability and Insurance

By registering for the conference participants agree that the organizers do not accept responsibility for medical, travel or personal insurance. Participants are advised to take out their own insurance policies.

Payment and Procedure of Online Registration

Your registration will be processed after receipt of payment. Payment can be processed either online, by credit card authorization, or bank transfer (upon request). The registration fee that is valid on the day of receipt of registration will be applied, provided that payment is effected immediately. If your payment has not been received within two weeks after the online registration, your registration will be cancelled without further notice.

Photographs, Audio, and Video Recording

Photographs as well as audio and video recordings are not permitted at the official meeting sessions. Only the official medical writer appointed by the organization may make recordings. All presentations that we were granted permission to release will be posted on the conference website as soon as possible after the meeting is finished, provided the speaker has given permission to do so.

Citizens of the following countries can visit Senegal without a visa for up to 90 days:
All European Union citizens, Benin, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Canada, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, China, Congo DR, Côte d'Ivoire, Djibouti, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, India, Japan, Liberia, Malaysia, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Morocco, Niger, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Singapore, South Korea, Togo, Tunisia, United States, Vatican City

Nationalities subject to visa and eligible for e-Visa online: citizens of all other nationalities can obtain their visa online (e-Visa) or in embassies.
