Shannon Weber, MSW is the Director HIVE: a hub of positive sexual and reproductive health, the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital-based program providing preconception and prenatal care to those affected by HIV. Shannon launched the PRO Men (Positive Reproductive Outcomes for HIV+ Men) initiative, an innovative collaboration between HIVE and SFGH’s Ward 86 HIV Clinic integrating men’s reproductive and sexual health care into a primary care setting. She founded PleasePrEPMe.org the searchable and location responsive California PrEP provider directory. With the San Francisco Department of Public Health, she is faculty with the Capacity Building Assistance program and coordinates the San Francisco Getting to Zero Initiative. Shannon is a workgroup member for the CDC’s One Test. Two Lives. initiative, serves on the CDC’s Elimination of Mother-to-Child HIV Transmission in the US stakeholders group and the Expert Panel on Preconception Care for Women and Men Living with HIV. She provides consultation on safer conception options and pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) implementation for women nationally and internationally.
