Wendy Kohrt, PhD, is a Professor of Medicine and Obstetrics & Gynecology and the Nancy Anschutz Chair in Women’s Health Research at the University of Colorado – Anschutz Medical Campus. She is the Director of Research for the Division of Geriatric Medicine, Director of the Energy Balance Assessment Lab for the Nutrition and Obesity Research Center, Associate Director of the Colorado Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute, and Associate Director of Research for the Eastern Colorado VA Geriatric Research Education and Clinical Center. Dr. Kohrt is an integrative physiologist and clinical interventionist. She has been conducting exercise intervention trials, often in combination with nutrition, hormone, or drug interventions, in young and older adults for 30 years. Dr. Kohrt has received continuous funding from the NIH as a principal investigator since 1990 and has over 200 original and solicited research publications. She is the principal investigator for a Department of Defense research grant, a NIH P50 award (Specialized Center of Research on Sex Difference), and a NIH U01 award (Molecular Transducers of Physical Activity Consortium – MoTrPAC). She serves as the chair of the MoTrPAC Steering and Executive Committees.
