Yanyan Araña is the Clinic Manager of Victoria by Loveyourself, the first community center that offers services that are focused for the transgender community in the Philippines. She used to be the Transgender Program officer of Isean-Hivos Program in 2016 and Islands of Southeast Asia Network on Male and Transgender Sexual Health (ISEAN) in 2017. Her work for HIV and Transgender Advocacy started in 2015 when she volunteered in Loveyourself Inc., a community-based organization based in Metropolitan Manila that offers testing and treatment for HIV. On December 2016, Loveyourself launched its third community center – Victoria by Loveyourself, in the aim to address the needs of the Transgender community in the Philippines and since then she was actively involved in the program. She also goes out to schools, companies and various cities to give orientation about SOGIESC and Transhealth. She finished her Bachelor in Broadcast Communication in Polytechnic University of the Philippines and currently studying Masters in Communication Management in the same school as well. Recently she started studying Embalming in Philippines Embalming and Undertakers Review Center. Before she was involved in the advocacy she used to work in various shows in ABS-CBN where she became production assistant, researcher, coordinator and producer.
